FCS Networker Quick Start Guide

The first question most people have when dealing with any link building software is "How can I achieve the best results"? As usual with any type of link building strategy there is no single "right way" but in this brief tutorial i'll show you how myself and many users have been using FCS Networker to help boost their rankings and their social presence online.

With a most link building software you trade off quality for automation and ease of use. With FCS Networker we've tried to give the user the option to retain high quality web properties plus the advantages of quick web automation.

For any SEO professional Google is going to be our main focus. Why? Well because Google brings by far the most traffic. If you can get yourself ranked high on Google you get free targeted traffic to your websites. This is every marketers goal and exactly what FCS Networker helps to do.

Google uses backlinks and social signals as a huge portion of their ranking algorithm. For those not familiar, backlinks are links back to your site. So Google keeps track of all of the sites that link to your site and uses that to help them determine how high your site should be ranked. So at first you say, "So just get more links". Well not exactly… Over the years they have become smarter and smarter and now after algorithm updates like Panda & Penguin they are focusing more than ever on quality. So this means we want the backlinks touching our site to be on quality webpages that have trust and good link juice. This is where FCS Networker comes in.

FCS Networker focuses on quality web 2.0 blogging sites, document sharing sites and only the cream of the crop social sites. You may see other similar software that have loads of bookmarking sites or wiki sites for example… The majority of the time though these sites are sites that nobody uses. So you end up getting tons of garbage links on spammy sites. FCS Networker uses sites that "real" people use and that Google trusts. Thats really the key to ranking success these days.

FCS Networker also realizes that if a site is popular it probably doesn't have only 1 link from a particular web 2.0 site. Lets take Tumblr & Twitter for example. These are two of the most popular sites on the web. If your money site gained in popularity it would most likely have links from many different Tumblr & Twitter user pages. You wouldn't normally see a popular site only having 1 share from 1 Twitter user right? Of course not! There would be many users all sharing the link, just like there would be many Tumblr users linking to the site as well. This looks natural and is really the key to boosting your rankings.

The way other web 2.0 software works is they restrict you to having 1 Tumblr account per submission project. FCS Networker allows you to submit to any of your accounts whenever you want. So you can really make your linking look natural by getting multiple links from these powerful domains on different user accounts. Google loves this! Bing loves this! Not only that but you are also building your sites reputation and exposure online.

Now lets get into the real nuts and bolts of FCS Networker! This tutorial will walk you through getting started with FCS Networker and also show you a great link building method, that is simple but very powerful. Remember though there is no "right way". Feel free to tweak things as you get more comfortable with the software or you can even come up with completely unique strategies all your own.

Account Creation

The first thing we are going to need in order to work with FCS Networker is accounts. Everything you do in FCS takes place in the web tool except for creating accounts. You can either create your own accounts with the included FCS Networker software or you can purchase accounts from the FCS Networker Store.

For creating accounts we've made things as simple as possible. First you'll want to download the FCS Networker software and unlock it with your license code. Then we'll want to setup our captcha service. If you go to the Tools menu in the software you'll see "Captcha Service Accounts". Here is where you can add your captcha credentials for whichever captcha service you'd like to use. You can also type the captchas manually if you choose not to use a captcha service but we highly recommend using a captcha service.

Now there are many different options in the software but for this tutorial we're going to keep things simple. As you get used to the software you can experiment with tweaking the settings but lets show you how to get up and running very quickly. The best way to do this is to click the "Quick Setup Wizard" button. You will be prompted with a few questions. After that you will be good to go. You'll just need to press the start button and your accounts will start creating. Once your accounts are done creating the emails will be automatically verified and they will get automatically uploaded into your web account where the really magic happens :). You can create as many sets of accounts as you'd like but for this tutorial lets just stick with 1 set.

Now that your accounts have been uploaded you can view the Article/Blog/PDF accounts here on the Accounts Page and the Social Accounts on the Social Accounts page. You can also categorize them into different networks if you'd like on the Categories pages but thats getting more advanced and for now we don't need to worry about that. Once again this tutorial is just a quick start guide. Theres tons of things you can do with FCS but we'll let the more in depth tutorials that are available on each page go into those features.

The accounts pages let you easily work with and view your accounts. You can see the login credentials, how many posts each account has successfully made and also edit them. Oh don't forget to download our auto-login plugin! Once installed it lets you automatically login to your accounts with 1 click by just clicking the login option in the drop down menu.

Setting Up Your Links

Ok so now you have some accounts. We just need to 2 more things and we're ready to build links and promote your site. The first thing is we need to know which URL's you want to build links to and the second is what content you'll be using to build those links.

Lets take a look at links. To setup your links just go to the Link Sets page. Here you'll be able to create "Link Sets". Link Sets are basically just a way to easily group and organize your links. You enter the URL's of the pages you want to build links to and the anchor text you'd like to use. Then just save your link set. You can create as many link sets as you'd like. So for example you may want to group URL's that are targeting the same keywords together in 1 link set. Or you can build a different link sets for each individual URL. Its totally up to you and the way you prefer to work.

Keep in mind when creating a project you can choose as many link sets as you'd like per project. So if you're the type who likes a different link set for each URL but wants to build links to many URL's in one project then this is no problem at all!

FCS offers many different ways to get and submit content. Simply put you can either gather your content before submitting a project, you can use 1 Spun Article or you can use our auto-content options that will automatically generate content for you to use.

For Article/Blogging/PDF sites you'll be using articles. If you are planning to use multiple articles of your choosing then head over to the Articles page where you'll see a few different options for adding and getting articles. You can bulk upload your own articles, you can extract articles from RSS feeds, you can import articles from Article Builder and you can scrape articles from Article Directories. You can also add your articles individually if you'd like. You're also given the option to spin, preview and edit the articles however you want.

Once you're done setting up your articles they will all be available to you when setting up a project. If you want to get even more advanced you can group them into Article Sets for easy organization but once again this is more in depth and not in the scope of this quick tutorial.

If you'd prefer to just use 1 spun article or our auto-content features then you can skip this step completely and just head over to the Add Projects page and start setting up your project.

For Social sites you'll need what we call Posts/Descriptions. A post/description is just a brief description or statement about your site to be used for bookmarking/posting on our social sites like Stumbleupon, Twitter, Delicious ect.. Its best to keep these posts under 140 characters including links, so the social sites like Twitter who have character limits will accept the post. An example social post/description for a car insurance site would be something like: "The best car insurance site on the web!" In order to add your posts you can head over to the Social Posts page.

Creating Projects

Projects are the way you tell FCS how you want to submit to your sites. There are two types of projects. Article/Blog projects and Social Projects. The Article/Blog projects submit to your Article/Blog/PDF accounts and the Social Projects submit to your social sites.

Projects have many different options. First you name your project and set how long you want your project to run for and when you want it the project to start. Next you select which articles you'll be using for your project. You can select the articles you imported earlier, you can just paste a spun article into the spun article option field or you can use our auto-content features and set the options to find automatic content to use for your site.

After you choose the content for your project you can then choose which accounts you want to submit to. You can choose accounts individually or you can choose the entire category. We try and give every possible option imaginable. After thats done you'll notice extra options at the bottom. This is where you can setup your automatic linking using the Link Sets we created earlier. You can also have more fun and add images/videos, blurbs, or even use our unique generator which will mash your content up to be more unique. Once you've setup your project the way you'd like you can go ahead and save it.

Now your project is good to go! It will start building links for you automatically and drip out the links over the amount of days you specified. You can view the progress of your projects on the Project Statistics page. Here you can also view the submissions made, download links and edit certain settings of your project. Keep in mind you can create as many projects as you'd like and have as many projects running at 1 time as you'd like.
